Ronery Musician.

As you all know, I’m a drummer now, and nothing more than a former guitarist. Heck did I have to mention I can play bass too? I learned everything, even keyboards, but looks like I’m still not satisfied.

What's the point of knowing everything when there's no one around to share it?

Well, I started off with guitar, and joined with people who I thought had the same interest as I am. Played many live show, jammed many times, just to know that I’m not compatible with their taste. And to proceed, I learned drum, since I don’t think I can find a drummer which will suit my taste of music. I already know how to play bass at this point, so if anyone need me to play bass which compatible with my taste, I have no problem to join them.

Most important thing for musician, you enjoy what you are playing.

Turns out everything I did was pointless, none of my friends replied. In the end I’m left alone, and continue being a drummer for my new band. They taste are very different from mine, but for the time being they really need me and they have the determination to play the music they like although the lack of skills and experiences. The least I can do is support them and push them forward until I’m no longer needed.

Skills, I don't need it. What I want is determination and passion to start something.

Maybe there’s no one out there that have similar music taste like I am, so looks like I made a really stupid choice believing that the day where I can jam mecha anime songs, shonen anime songs and male jrock band songs. End of rant.

February, I Hate You.

February, despite having only 28 days, is giving me the hardest time compared to any month I’ve been through. Lots and lots of bad things happened this year but my January is going really well. So where did I make a mistake? Then I realize, the key factor to all this, loitering. Yeah, I go out too much to hang out with friends, and waste money, and what not.

Well, it’s good to know that you have a friend, but are they a friend in need? … Maybe I should stop there. Then again, I felt like many of my time and money wasted going out loitering where I can actually use my time and resource for self improvement… which is really my hobby. Hate to say that I’m not the thinking type, and sorry for not paying attention for anything that happened around the world but my life is short lived and to go through it is more important to me than paying attention to something I can only know but takes no action. So I’m more interested in learning skills compared to adding more and more heap of tottemo cool information in my brain. Curse me all you want, but if everyone is a thinker, who’s gonna do the freaking job?

While you are busy thinking about plans, she's already my waifu. Something like that.

It’s okay if people don’t know me that much, it’s okay if my friends didn’t appreciate what I ever did but at least I can be of help to anyone in need. Being useless in a situation sucks, so let’s just train myself during this short mid sem break and hopefully March is a better month and I’ll be a better man.

Y I No Blogging? Since I’m too busy stalking in facebook. Yeah I tabbed many songs but still not yet to put it up thanks to social networking addiction(not sure if you anyone even need the tab). Me, being a 21st century introvert are lucky to live in this era where connections are just a click away for approval. I add peoples I found interesting and try hard to interact with them despite being somewhat lacking in confidence to talk. getting to know peoples are an enjoyment and sharing their life with myself is an honor. Maybe this is a cultural shock to myself, since I rarely socialized in my supposedly sweet and musical high school life, so being able to make friends with people is somewhat addicting.

Sweet friendship doesn't last forever as relation deepens.

Sadly, every happiness doesn’t last long. People wont stay friends forever like I intended them to. Some developed even a deeper feeling towards others and makes things really complicated. From there, everything sweet becomes bitter, everything beautiful is now a delusion, and everything gained now is lost. Though I’m not affected by this circumstances but watching it makes my tongue somewhat sour. I guess there’s an end to a sweet friendship and people need to make a serious decision sooner or later.

There’s also been a conflict with my best buddies, lately I’ve been too much of an asshole an keep screwing things up. And sorry I must reject some of your opinions that was imposed on me, too much busy with many things lately and I can’t keep up with too many people to interact to. Besides, I think it’s time for you guys to move on also.

For me? I’m a rockstar, need to stay away from any scandals and paparazzi. I’m only looking for CONNECTION, not to impress others, not to be claimed superior than others, not to share my daily life complains, but as a proof that I exist in a community.

It’s that time of the year again, my ronery day. Though not really ronery for this year since lots of interesting things going around.

: I can say it’s a juicy ronery day.

All of a sudden I’m at Red Wok enjoying a nice meat and seafood on my ronery night, thanks to linkinstreet for that. Though I probably wouldn’t go there anymore, heck it’s really pricey even though I didn’t have to pay for it but the feeling of others paying my expensive meal is even bitter. I rather ate at a mamak stall with teh OO ais and double roti O at rm3. The next night my dad invited me to enjoy a nice yee mee sizzling with lotsa meat toppings… again… think I’ve eaten too much meat this time of the month. Played L4d2 with buncha guys later on.

Holy shit I startled Komori! WHAT WEAPON SHOULD I USE?

The cyber cafe facility is really horrible with the smokers and buggy games, but what choice do we have to play on a clear line without lag. I sucked at shooting games unlike the rest of my playmates, so lagging will totally put me in the worst possible situation for the team. Okay, ronery day spent eating and gaming is kinda boring so lets get to the best part, KARAOKE!

After 3 long month I’ve waited for this moment, a karaoke session with proper environment at Yumekukan featuring JOM Project ( Ultimaweaponx, Yafex_shogoki and me ). Too bad the price wasn’t the same as before but heck, letting loose after 3 month worth of wait is priceless. To commemorate this session, I purposely selected as many JAM Project songs as I can remember to scream my lungs out. OMG my voice was horrible ( that’s why I want to be a drummer who didn’t have to sing ), luckily three people singing will cover most of the part. After 3 hours of singing, my GN-particle runs out and driving through NKVE during 5pm is a hell. Spent the night finishing L4d2 campaign with my buddies again. Thanks guys for a wonderful memories of this year’s ronery day.

This time, I put the 'teamwork' priority instead of leaving off everyone behind.

A new addition to my ‘bedroom’, a silver iMac, though it’s an old model with C2D processor(the latest being i5 processor).

24 inch display with full HD resolution.

Sorry for the messy table but I don’t have a place to stuff all my belongings except my table. Using OSX sure is addicting at first due to it’s simplicity and attractive GUI. One comment after using it for a while… It’s really easy and simple for those nontechnical people who didn’t want to troubleshoot their OS much.

Since I’ve been lazy updating the blog, probably I had gone through many stuffs but didn’t have the time to mention it. I changed my profession to a drummer now, though part time only since I need to keep my guitar skill intact and develop my piano skill along. Yeah, it’s stupid to learn everything at the same time, but let’s call it one of my life achievement. I’m the person who seek skills as long as I’m awake. Unfortunately it’s regressing my knowledge, making me a slowpoke when it comes to recent news.

Though I’m not really good with it like I’m good with guitars but I want to prove to people that playing instrument took determination and enthusiasm, not talents or some bullshit. That also one of my life goals, being able to prove that instrument playing isn’t hard and trying to make people less scared to learn music instrument especially avid anime and video games lover like me.

Nothing much during my Raya week. As we gets old, the less we enjoy the little things. Well, gotta enjoy holiday like an adults did, by watching movie. And it’s a sequel to the previous Resident Evil movies, Resident Evil: Afterlife.

Nothing is better than enjoying a movie out of a blue. So we hang around animeshrine msn channel and suddenly I’m at Ikea Damansara enjoying a meatball dinner with yafex_shogoki and ultimaweaponx. Though I want to invite maskawaih to watch the movie but he’s not online at the time. My legs are hurting during the week due to the un-ergonomic nature of Malaysian made cars, so a walk from Ikea to eCurve is a kinda enjoyable is a masochist way. Not to forget my usual routine of dropping by Bentley Music and scouting for good guitars.

On to the movie, so I was expecting something good and bought a ticket to watch it in 3D. Started off with clones of Alice raiding the Umbrella facility. And there’s farking Wesker, though seems a bit weaker compared to the game potrayal. Overall the effects was really stunning in the beginning with lots of pew pew here and there. The story drags until Chris was introduced. And it was hilarious when he said he can get Alice outta there, you’ll see why(hint:prison break.)

Easily said, it turns bad from there on, everyone is dead except the 3 main character and the large hammer weilding majini came out only to be killed by two blast of shotgun barrel. Notice that the fighting scene between wesker and chris is copied exactly like in RE5, replacing Sheva with Claire. Cliffhanger ending as usual, showing Jill with a battalion of armed umbrella corps assault troop preparing to kill the protagonist.

That should be all about the movie, nothing much, but a stunning visual effects with lots of bullet time. Guess the critics was right about the movie script being horrible and all. In the end, all that I remembered is the delivious Ikea meatballs. What pique my interest is the trailers before the movie starts. From the director of my favourite movie, Hot Fuzz, featuring guitars, bands, and flashy comic book superhero wannabe, ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’ is something I’ll look forward to.

Rei Juice?

Kaworu X Rei, RM2.90 each.

A must have for hardcore fan? Though I just want these two only, since they’re both my favourite character. Bought for Rm2.90 each, and plus the leftover unagi sushi and onigiri I bought at Jusco for a cheap price, that’s all I have for dinner. The coffee itself isn’t anything worth mentioning, just your typical sweet milky coffee. Many people say it’s lacking the true essence of coffee but I had a sweet tooth so I like it sweet. No extraordinary feature on the can, except the Evangelion character and it’s a bit heavy than the usual coffee can. Second Impact incoming http://ucc-evacan.jp/. I Heard You Liek Poka Poka

Damn 2.0 was good.

Couples of weeks back then, Cathay Cineplex brought Evangelion 2.0 : You (cannot) Advance, which is quite a blessing to me and all Evangelion fan in Malaysia. Linkinstreet manage to book one cinema to be filled with self-proclaim elite malaysian otaku(including me of course). Though something went wrong and he’s on hiatus since then.

Me and Evangelion goes way back to my high-school years in 2001, though by that time i’m still watching vcd quality anime. Gotta admit that I fell in love with Rei at that time… who wouldn’t anyway? There was as also the time where I was too hardcore about Evangelion and listen to the OP everytime after I got back from midnight tuition. What do you expect from a kiddo? Well, time passes and I’ve become a batman now and all is right with the world.

Anyway, the movie was stunning. Unlike 1.0 which is like keikaku doori, there’s a slight deviation from the original storyline. Among all, everyone who watched it surely impressed with the music used. Thinking that everyone download/bought it after watching the movie. I had them in the first place but hearing it during the movie is really different, with the stunning scene and all. You can see complex mechanical design implemented on Tokyo-3 while ’2EM09_YAMASHITA’ was playing in the background. Most of the other BGM is something from the past with added guitar solo etc2. To be noted, 2 special song for the series ‘今日の日はさようなら’ and ‘翼をください -Tribute to “Sound of Music”‘ was played during crucial moment of the movie, greatly increase the dramatic effect of the scenes. My conclusion, the movie is about Rei Ayanami and her ‘ポカポカ’ scene.

So… watching once wasn’t enough, so I watched twice with Czero, Yafex and Dark Steno. This time I’m paying attention to the story and fighting scene. Though basically an angel defies all odds so watching how a 14 years old boy beat them is somewhat enjoyable in a sense, not that I’m a sadist and enjoy looking them grieving in pain or anything. And certainly, I don’t like watching that baby-faced Rei mourns in pain when she was fighting an angel. Dunno if the sales are good, but from my optimistic view I hope they will continue to bring such movie here in Malaysia.
