Cool Story : dotHack//Quantum

The first episode of dotHack//Quantum : Walking Party

Those who are not familiar with dotHack series, it’s a story about a MMORPG that supposed to be far more advance than any MMORPG that existed today. It uses VR to simulate real life experience in the game in conjunction with a microchip implant in your brain; which causes all the trouble from the story. This one is a three episode OVA installment for the series, which feature The World R:X which is a newer version of The World.

The new version of The World featured in the OVA.

What makes it different from the other dotHack series?

Three girls as the lead.

Real life version of them.

The retarded main heroine who causes trouble to everyone. *somewhat familiar traits*

And of course...

Aside from the moe girls approach, the series promises better quality compared to the previous dotHack anime which is full of disoriented character anatomy and unnatural body language.

>_<

Quality dragon breath scene.

Panic in-game battle.

Angry dragon.

And dragons, they rock! Through the fire and flame.

Those who are familiar with the dotHack series can’t help but notice the camoe from the previous dotHack series.

The PK'ers who PK'ed Haseo in dotHack//G.U.

Don't want to spoil about who she really is, but you'll surely get it from the avatar she's using.

Overall the story is enjoyable and light. If you want to smoke something deep, might as well go for dotHack//G.U. instead. As a dotHack fan, I can say the anime is good way of conveying how The World works to non-dotHack followers.

Epitaph user Data Drain, they didn't care to explain it at all. But it's a hack ability nonetheless.

Though some terms and unexplainable situation can’t be described in 3 episode but the dotHack fan surely ignore it since they’re all reference to the older dotHack.

Wait, what?
